Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurse runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carries out cervical smears.
The Kent Community NHS Health Trust provides our District Nursing services. They provide nursing services in the patient’s home. They visit patients in their own homes to assess their individual nursing and health care needs. The ongoing care is provided by the nursing team and is regularly evaluated.
The Health Visitor can provide support and information from the moment the midwife discharges you until your child starts school.
We also have the services of a Physiotherapist and Counsellor on site.
